Legal deposit copy

Legal deposit copies of documents are subject to voluntary conveyance by the producer (the printing entity or the publisher) in the relevant organizations and the organizations in the order and a quantity determined by the legislation of Republic of Belarus on an obligatory copy – the Resolution of Council of ministers of Republic of Belarus No. 1284 of September 3, 2008. "About approval of the Regulations on the legal deposit copy of documents and recognition become invalid for some orders of the Government of Republic of Belarus".

 On the basis of legal deposit copies completing of complete national library and information fund of printing editions of Republic of Belarus is provided, bibliographic registration and quantitative account of publishing products is kept state, document registration in printing state bibliographic is performed, the database of Information system of the state bibliographic information is created, the National archive of printing editions of Republic of Belarus is created.
